Turbo or Supercharged For 95 GSR
oh yeah. heres another argument that goes in favor of turbos. superchargers use engine power to make power. so you may get as much power out of them...but you have to put about half the power in to get the thing working. so you really make about half the power a turbo will on the same psi. and on honda engines...you need all the power you can get.
I'll sell you my TD04 when i get my motor back and GT35r installed
But in all seriousness I would go turbo. Research, price out both kits, installation what not, find some videos, if you get a chance to go for a ride in a turbo/supercharged Civic obviously jump on it, but i dont think anything your going to get from this thread is going to make you decide on which to get. And if it does god help you lol jk

sorry...but i would just like to know the very basic. i don't know much of anything about this topic. i was just wondering what would be more reliable. as in what would take less maintanence?

this will answer most questions on the SC, i am personally going to run one of larry's kits. mine should be done with in 2 weeks. it is a little hard to beat 15 psi of idle. they make ~300 to the wheels with these kits. my only problem now is wheel spin.....
i am sure if you look around you can find a lot of info on turbos and such.
as for simplicity and reliability, i would go with an SC. if you want big power a turbo is hard to beat. i would not recommend a jackson racing kit unless you are looking for a moderate gain and easy installation. these kits are not meant for big power so dont expect it. you can get good power from an SC but it isnt cheap. for what i paid for my SC kit you could have bought 2 nice turbo kits. but i wanted something different, plus i didnt want a big IC up front giving away my little secrets......ssssshhhhhh....
