Default Turbokit?

Ok .. I am very very interested in throwin a turbo on my car and there is a TSI kit thats made for the D17A2 and it comes with a Garret T25 turbo ... i met a guy at a local dunkin donuts who had a 2004 or 5 honda civic ex coupe d17a2... He said that he had to custom fit some of the things that came with it .... If its a complete kit shouldn't it all fit snug in the engine bay? And has any other D17A2 Turbo owner had problems like this??

They're not always that easy. They should be, and sound like they are, but not always. Never fails, in automotive, nothing goes smoothly unless you've done it before.

D17 and turbo....two words that shouldnt be in the same sentence. But anyway sometimes the complete kits dont fit perfectly so maybe you'll have to custom fit it, but it shouldnt be too bad. And anyway that TSI kit comes with some type of injector controller, which is a big problem wiht the D17's, so maybe it would work out anyway

First things first. Don't "throw" a turbo on anything. Know what it does and why it does it. Second, a T25 turbo is a very small turbo compared to the say Gt28r turbo.
A pro to having a T25 is that you hit full boost very quick. Depending on your setup you could see full boost at 3000RPM.

well a problem with 7th gens is that you cant convert back to OBD1 and chip/tune, so your options are piggyback or possibly AEM EMS, which is expensive as sh*t, and piggybacks USUALLY only control fuel. Maybe that kit's controller will do you okay, i've heard the Edelbrock's kit fuel managemtn that comes iwth the kit works fine.
