Default turbos

hi there this question might have already been asked but im wanting2 know if it is possible 2 use a diesel turbo on a petrol car even if it has already been used with dieselthanks

like, a huge turbo off of a diesel truck? Yes, technically it is possible, but youre little 4 cylinder is so small it will barely be able to spool that thing up and make any power. You're going to want to go with a smaller turbo, (T25, T28, T3/T4, 14B, etc.) if anything.

no i would b useing just a normal diesel car turbo. so there is no difference at all between diesel and petrol turbos

they both do the same thing... put more air into the engine
as long as it's in good shape and you know what you're doing, everything should be ok

That's a good size turbo to make 200whp on a d16. The boost level doesn't matter, what matter is how much horsepower you make. A stock d16 can safely make 200-220whp on stock internals.

levaing that turbo internally gated at it's 8 PSI will do just fine and put you around 200hp. For a simple, mellow boost setup, the T25 is your best bet for sure, just get a good tune and some headstuds.
