but i don't know anything about cars.
-except they go fast and cost me lots of money.

how do i make my car accelerate quicker and go faster?

three things u need to do to make a car quick. upgrade the air, fuel and spark. get better plugs and wires, coil and distributor and then go to fuel. get some kind of fuel managment system or fuel rail, regulator and injuectors, basically find a way to control your fuel and then boost the crap out of it. and if u do boost it make sure u get a good tune. or u could just throw on header, intake, exhaust and some other bolt on stuff. its your car. there is alot of ways to make it fast. depending on how fast u want it to go. i say go the tubo route myself.

 

Intake, Headers, Exaust, Cams, Turbo, NOS, Supercharge, clutch, flywheel, cam gears... etc etc...

it depends on what you want the car for... you just want a fun car, or are you going to make it all out drag car?

 

Actually spark plugs wont make that much of a difference. Intake Head and Exhaust will do you in about 30hp. You will notice a difference.

 

I thought they did. well the coil and distributor with the plug wires will won't it. and if not how do u upgrade better spark?

 

spark will not give you more power... it makes you more effecient... being effecient gives you power

 

well i know that. i wasnt trying to say add some plug wires to get hp but if u up the fuel and air u have to up the spark. thats what i thought at least. u don't have to i guess but, its the smart thing to do. u cant run your best with stock spark.

 

New wires will boost your paower if you have old ones that are absolutley shot. Safyre has a brand new car. Unless his civic was running at 20psi and 400 hp yea, he might want to invest in bigger wires
