Default Vacuum Lines

I have been reading like 3 or 4 different DYI's for installing turbos and I think I could pretty much do it but the only thing I can't figure out is that none of the DYI's tell you where to route your vacuum lines to, like for the bov. Do they all go to different places or are they all routed to different places?

Make it easy for yourself, pick up a vacuum manifold. They're cheap, and they help organize everything.

sovXiet is right, go for the vacuum manifold. if not tho, here's how i did mine:
1. vacuum line running from external wastegate to turbo
2. vacuum line running from manifold, tee-ing off to also connect to boost gauge and fmu.
3. same as above, having another tee that connects to the blow off valve.

So how does it work, the vacuum manifold in connected to the intake manifold for a source of vacuum. Then you connect the bov, fmu, and boost controler to the vacuum manifold?

Brake booster is T-d off, hooks up the vac manifold. You put all of your vacuum related items on it, BOV, boost gauge, etc etc etc. Makes everything a lot cleaner.

The silver thing on the plastic rain guard is my vacuum manifold.

You can see it right there in that photo. The brake booster line is that gigantic hose coming off of the back of the IM that is T-d off and running into the right side of the vac mani.

Vac manis are great, IVe got the same one as sox......its a golden eagle. I tapped into the brake booster too, and then the mani has like 6 ports for other vac outlets........I had an internal wastegate, so no vac line needed.

You can also run the brake booster directly into the side of the vac mani, then use one of the bottom ports to connect to the IM, rather than using t-fittings...just another option

this might sound stupid, but if the mani has say..5 ports and you only use 3, do the other ones stay open...or are you supplied with somthing to close them...?
