I'd move to another car then. Integras are nice if you want to stay with Honda/Acura (since you obviously don't care about the added weight). There are a lot of other really nice options out there though, both foreign and domestic.

The "can I turbo a D17" question has become more of an opinion than based on science from what I've seen. Kinda of likeglobal warming. I don't think either side of the argument for or against has proved its case yet (unlike global warming ). Personally I am against, and don't care enough about the motor to research if anyone has made it work out for a reasonable period of time (because there's no way in hell I'm going totry it ).
My reasoning behind my answers is that you've got to re-work the whole fuel system, which seems like a ****load of extra unneccesary headaches. YES, it can be done. Is it worth it, imo, no
I'll spare the forum and not rehash my logic lol. But I will say if it were worth it, I wouldn't mind fudging with the fuel system.

My point is different, or at least seemed so by the wording of your post. You were saying it is not worth it because of having to rework the fuel system. I was saying I wouldn't mind reworking the fuel system if it was a sweet motor, which it isn't, imo.

I know you like to be abrasive where you can, but I wouldn't reiterate your statement only to make the same statement. So keep your ""'s.

Sell the car, use the money to get an older Civic and use the money you saved to boost that.
there's always the off-chance that i happen to hate older civics body style..looks like im stuck
Yeah, you're stuck. They're not worth boosting, tuning alone will cost upwards of $1400.

You should ask this guy who is running a turbo d17.

That little face was an attempt to get you to clarify why what you said was different from what I said, that is all. So don't be a dick

+1. If you like the body, rock a K in it.

It'd make a great sleeper, cuz no one ever really makes that bodystyle fast.

I also have another question. When i accelerate my car from a stopped position in 1st gear to make a 90 degree turn my steering wheel feels very tight and it gets very hard to move the wheel. And when it rains it feels like my car is about to lose controll and skid out. This only happens when I redline the car in 1st gear while turning. Do any of you know what is going on?

Thanks a lot guys cuz im still getin this stuff down.
Yeah...You need to stop accelerating full-throttle into turns. The wheel is hard to turn in first gear at full-throttle to redline because you are experiencing torque-steer. You may also be hitting the rev-limiter.The car feels like it's about to lose control and skid out because it is about to lose control and skid out. Drive a bit more sensibly and you won't be accelerating in first gear at redline through a muddy ditch. You only have so much traction to work with. You have to balance it between accelerating/braking, and cornering.

You could also make the car handle better withperformance wheels and tires, some strut tower/tie bars,anti-swaybars, or a lower/stifferaftermarket suspension.
