Default wil this work ok

I have a 1998 civic ex. i want to put a turbo on for a reasonable price(2000 or less). i was looking at a GReddy turbo kit for about 2200. Is that a good turbo and for a good price? any other suggestions?

Yes its a good turbo set-up, however that kit does not come with an intercooler, or piping for it. I would recomend buying a cheaper intercooler from, lsdmotorsports for like $200, instead of paying 3 times that amount for a Greddy one. But kit will still work without an intercooler.

Bottom line: use the search function and read Pete's turbo shopping list.

you can find the greddy kit on ebay for like 1800 i think. but the greddy kit is a good kit for the d series motor and a daily driver. just read up on turbos before you install one, it makes things a lot easier in the long run.

an intercooler is an intercooler, it doesnt matter what brand, they all do the same thing. but if you dont have one then you will def screw up the engine. make sure you look around and get an intercooler for your horsepower set up.

the greddy kits come with a blue box for fuel managment and i heard it works good with greddy kits, but not your own kit.
