700+whp HERE I COME!!
I dont know if any of you are familar with AMS. But these are the guys who are building my motor in my SRT4, I can expect similar numbers when I get my engine back in a month or so. Now you guys can see how the SRT4 wont be a daily driver. however the kid who drives this SRT4 (4U2NV on SRTforums) Daily drives this SRT4, and since this run hes put down 760whp

these runs were in 4th gear and on the stock transmission btw.

too much...why not just buy the parts and build it yourself? i built a 2.6 stroker last week, with a gt35r...it isnt that difficult.
and just wanted to make sure that people understand, that numbers put down on a dyno, and numbers put down on a track are often very different...

IIRC, there's some videos of a guy in a Taurus racing him... Taurus - 1, Neon - 0.

Patrick you need to stop drinking that

lol jkjk

and its worth it to have AMS build your engine if you have the money. They're building my new shortblock and head, they are professionals and already have a stellar track record with what theyve done to the Evo. The AMS Evo VIII is the fastest street Evo8 in America.

i am well aware of AMS...i travel quite a bit, and have been to enough import events to know about AMS..i got good video of their car this past weekend...however, they dont do anything special that any other shop doesnt do...theyre just a big name. ive always wondered why people pay the ridiculous amounts for simple labor like engine builds, when you can just buy the parts and do it yourself.
yamaha, while im aware that alot of people are into autoX or road racing (ive autocrossed) when people are drag racing, which is basically what you posted, it should be done from a stop. they werent turning, they were going in a perfectly straight line, and seeing who could pull on who...its drag racing for drivers who arent skilled enough to launch a car, or for people who are too cheap/arent knowledgable enough to put together a suspension setup that will handle a given amount of power...for instance, we have several guys on here who who have posted huge dyno numbers, and only produced ETs in the 13s? thats terrible. im only putting down around 360hp and running mid 12s with a 3700lb car...
id like to see that kid from srtforums drive the car a half hour or so to the dyno, pull it on, and dyno it...but thats not the case, im sure...people who boast about ridiculous dyno numbers, or "dyno queens", are guys who have the car setup so that the only time that it puts down any real numbers is on the dyno, and they dont know what it runs, because it wont stay together long enough to run it. dyno runs are typically in ideal conditions, and considering that fact that different dynos produce different numbers with the same car, dyno numbers should be taken witha grain of salt, and as far as im concerned, should only be taken seriously for tuning...
i, on the other hand, have never had any of my cars on a dyno, because ive learned how to tune (and build) a car/motor without paying a shop to do it...
and im not being a hater, im being realistic, but im aware that its the internet, and there are people who will believe anything that they read or are told.
