So I have a MobiBlu 1500i. It is a great MP3 player, but I have to near a computer to charge that damn thing. I did some looking online to double check my idea for a circuit and found that I had the right idea. $6 worth of parts at Radioshack plus a few spare parts I had laying around and here ya go:







The switch turns it on and off, the LED lets me know when it on and it doubles as an emergency flashlight should I ever need one (I don't think I will ever be the desperate. LOL) All and all it was a fun little project. I am gonna do another one and try to make it fit into a Zippo case. Let me know if you think I should do a DIY on it. I know its not car related, but most of have MP3 players. I don't know, it 5:12 am here and I need to sleep. LOL

 

Thats awesome, great idea. Any idea how many charges you can get out of a 9 volt? You could probably sell those things on ebay lol.

 

You could actually sell those if you find a way to mass produce those.

 

Altoids cans. They're perfect for so many different electronics projects.

not that hard to throw everything needed to make a computer into a shoe box. infact it would be quite easy.

but plese do a DIY on the altoids can usb charger it will be perfect for me for when I go to florida.
