Default Another J-Sreies is hitting the road.

A little history about the car.

Hey guys, thought i would share this with you befoer my friend Don puts this up on another site.

The car you see is my older brother's, its a 97 Cx auto Hatch.....color purple.
I think hes trying to copy my ride...

My friend Don has had a ton of people ask him to do a tiptronic trans.

During this time my brothers tran broke down, so he went to my friends shop and told him went happend, so Don said, ill hook you up.
Bring in a J23a2 Type-S with tiptronic and you will have it in 2 days.
My brother said sure.
It took a little longer, this car has more wireing then mine, but came out nice.

When these pic were taken, it was almost done.
Car started up, the trand worked, the TL cluster worked, axels worked.....just one of the motor mounts failed.

But sometime in the afternoon tomm, the car will hit the road.

The motor is a little lower then mine, and pushed to the pass side a little more to.

Just for now we placed the OEM civic bezel over the TL cluster, but they are going to change it later.

We just placed the cover over the shifter to give you a idea on what its going to look like.

i think its a good project but i dont think the cluster cover flows well, from the pics, it look like its cutting off the rpms.. how are you going to rig the shifter area to be flush? i cant wait to see the final results.

They are going back to fix that, this was my brothers daily driver so he needed it back ASAP.
The plan is to take the CL bezel and cut it, fit it to the civic bezel and mold them together, i think it will come out nice.

Oh, about the RPM, the cluster is not bolted down yet, it was just placed in there so he knows how fast hes going.

At this poing no OEM hood would fit, so he's cutting around the intake.
Just for this summer.
