one time a blackbelt decided to pick a fight with me. he got ktfo before he had time to get one side chop in, guess that karate stuff works well . my gf is a blackbelt too. she used to win alot of trophies when she was a little youngin, but i think she would just kick the guys in the nuts and win by default

Yeah, a lot of black belts think they're king ****. But the fact of the matter is, theres a lot of arts out there that do you absolutely no good in a street fight. Tae Kwon Do is actually 90% self defense, so I'm better at avoiding fights than anything. Its fun to let them take the first swing, cause before they know it they're on the ground with their arm pinned to the back of their head begging for you to not break it.

 

Okinawan style is very "streetable"... that was kinda the point for us. We learned self defense and ways to get out of tight spots... etc.,....

 

i had some dude punk me one time... he swung at me, missed, and lost a tooth at the same time... i think he was trying to beat up my fist with his face[&:]
