I'm amazed this thread is still alive, I haven't checked it in a while. This video was never intended to be a evo vs. Z06 debate. Fact of the matter is I think with enough money you could modify just about any pos to beat the corvette in the 1/4. I just thought you might enjoy seeing a video of your car.

Truth is my dad actually has a C6 Z06, I drive an evo. We've always been very competitive, problem is he makes alot more money than I do. The evo is a great platform for me to beat him on a budget, and when the track opens I'm sure I will. For now that is, he's agreed to hold off headers and cam work untill I have a chance to race him. Once he does that I'm pretty much screwed and a larger, laggier turbo will be the only thing that will make me faster again. That's something I'm not willing to do.

One thing that should be taken into consideration when comparing these two cars is most evo's that are faster than a Z06 are using a GT35r or larger turbo. That turbo on the 4g63 motor won't make power untill at least 4000rpm. That would be a horrible daily driver imo, and zero fun to drive.
