I love corvettes. I love to see them kick the crap out of foreign supercars. Go american cars... I love honda's too. But mine wont be beating any ferrari's

 

Ok. For $75,000, I would buy that E55, despite it being used, and having 7000 miles on it, and being this model year, Marty. For $250,000? I'd buy a nice house somewhere, pay off my civic, and put a bunch of things in it.

If we're talking speed/cost, I'll give the Vette it's 10-20 seconds on a ring it's got over a ferrari for $140,000. So in that respect, the Vette is definitely a better car.
To AgentofDarkness, uhm...mate? a Brabus E-class is the fastest 4 door sedan in the world, according to that Guinness book. Slap a backseat, some more doors and bunch of safety features in your Vette, see how it stacks up.
ef4life...guy...if you can afford a $250,000 sports car, you can afford $62 a quart oil changes, mkay?

 

Ive seen one with nothing but headers and street legal high flow cats, untuned on 91 octane (which is low enough to put it onto the low-octane fuel maps) hit 492rwhp on a not-number-friendly Dynapack. the same car is now making somewhere north of 560RWHP on a conservative tune, the headers and cats, and a stage2 Ligenfelter cam package (not as expensive as it sounds), oh, and it was 102 and humid on the tuning day. and it beats anything that drives itself to the track.

oh, and people are hitting 10s with just slicks now.


dont get me wrong, Im not a muscle car guy at all. but having ridden in/seen in action this Vette, I know its mostly ignorance for people to downplay its abilities. it is easily faster than all but the top of the line cars from around the world, and even they are sweating this Corvette. I know of quite a few Ferrari owners around here that are selling their Ferraris to buy a C6 Z06, because its fast, reliable, and cheap enough to drive the $&!# out of and not worry about it.



yeah right. until its a classic, the Ferrari will lose value daily. and after driving his for a year, my friend could turn and sell it for more than he paid for it right now (he got it for list price) because there are more buyers for Z06s than for a quarter million dollar Ferrari, and as long as there is a limited run of them, they will stay very near the list price, or even higher.





and just wait til the Blue Devil/Stingray comes out......it will not be bothered even with the very top of the line cars. watch out Bugatti.....

just because people have a ferrari doesn't mean They can afford it.

amd if you floored a C6 Z06 in 1st on a dyno, you would lose it. not to mention redline shifts on a dyno.
