wow - maple grove , i haveny been there in about 15 years , nice track & campground , video brings back some memories

 

It's nerve racking the first time you get up there, my first time to the track was last year at this same event. I still am jittery as ***** everytime I line the car up at the tree, hell on my 3rd run I missed 2nd because my hand just slipped right off the shift ****.[8D]

AOL did you used to live around the area or did you travel? There are a few car meets at the campground every year and I go down to the track on as many Grudge nights that I can. The track is a bit on the slow side because of the altitude but it's one of those places you can just go and have a great time at.

 

i would just be scared to get laughed at cuz i would lose so bad

 

i'd drive over from CT, i think is was about a 5-6 hour drive , they have a VW show n go day every june or july, the campground was cool cause you can sit there & listen to all the car ripping down the track all day , something you dont hear at most campgrounds

 

was that burn out on street tires i saw? j/k I want to see you get the whole tranny thing worked out because im doing the same thing to my ex tranny.

 

Haha, yeah, burnout on street tires. Probably wasn't helping me at all, but I said ****it and just did it anyway. [8D]

As far as the tranny goes, I just bought an entire ZC trans for $200 JUST for the 3rd gear, lol. I'll probably sell the other gears on it, 2nd, 4th, and 5th. I'm just waiting for it to show up, but i'm going back to stock 2nd and using the shorter 3rd from the ZC trans.

Gotta play with it a bit, but I think this will be the ticket.

 

Sov were u at maple grove on saturday for the taping of pinks all out? i was in my boys gti and i saw you driving away from the track at about 1:30. As soon as i seen the rims and then heard the blow-off I knew it had to have been you!
