My first exhaust vid
here it is anybody able to tell me what for sure that blueish smoke is from? btw im getting 21mpg and the head tics at least when it is cold http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMenj...&feature=email
When I installed mine I had the smoke too, ive read its just some **** coating the inside of the pipes, it stopped for me after the first highway drive and my car is running fine. It must have burnt off.
how loud is the head ticking?
Perhaps your valve lash needs to be adjusted.
A new exhaust will smoke a little bit at first and go away after a while.
If you are getting 21 MPG, I would start with a basic tune up (plugs (use NGK V-power), wires, rotor, distributor cap) and changing your fluids. Also look into running some Lucas Oil Stabilizer with your oil, and running some Lucas Fuel Cleaner through the lines by pouring a bottle in next time you fill up the gas tank.

Lmao that's not snow its really white sand we just moved into this house and haven't got the driveway paved then
its just loud when the engine is cold then it quiets down
I just did change the plugs and used the v-powers and was about to do wires but thanks for the tip on the rotor and distributor cap. I just put STP fuel treatment in should I still use the Lucas?

I would run this tank of gas nearly dry and then in the next one use the Lucas. Lucas kicks STP's ***.
I would also definitely try the Lucas oil stabilizer. I used to have slight smoking but I ran the Lucas oil stabilizer in with my oil and the smoking went away. I suspect the smoking was from my valve seals not sealing properly, and that the oil stabilizer rejuvenated my seals.
(Make sure to get "Lucas Synthetic Oil Stabilizer" if you have synthetic oil, and "Lucas Oil Stabilizer" if you use conventional oil. Follow the instructions on the bottle. You may have to drain some of your oil so you can add the proper amount; do not overfill the engine with fluid. Alternatively, just do an oil change at the same time and put in 3 quarts oil and .5 quarts oil stabilizer.)
