New car, anyone? (does anybody actually have 56k still?)
Yup... bought my second car on tuesday.. it's an '01 Mustang base (meaning it has the lowly v6)... 5-speed, of course (considering that's the reason I'm getting rid of the ej1)
Anyway, I think I'm going to keep it stock or damn near stock (I'll probably throw an AEM dry-flow filter on and I'm definitely getting a chaser taillight module (if you don't know what that is, please look it up on youtube... the things are effin' awesome)). I figure I'm just going to save up my money for car #3... while I'm at wyotech this fall/winter/spring, I'm going to see if I can't find an s13 240sx hatchback for a decent price (hopefully an unmolested one, but we'll see)... and by decent price, I mean what it's actually worth... $1500 tops. And then I'll mod the f**k out of the 240.

And if anyone's wondering why I got a v6... insurance, insurance, insurance. The insurance on my mustang is actually about $100 less than the civic per year. A v8 mustang is considered a performance car, so there's no way the insurance would be do-able for me.

youre worse than a woman...."should i buy this 240" "nope ill get a mustang" haha good deal i suppose, not a fan of the mustang but cant go wrong with saving money
^ Don't blame me, blame my parents... if I got my way, I'd have an s13 hatch sitting in my driveway right now... my parents wouldn't let me get one because they're "too old to be reliable" (yeah, I know). So basically, I got this mustang as a way to stay sane until I can get my hands on an s13. That's the reason I'm going to be spending less than $200 on mods for the 'stang... I'm saving my money for a 240 and its mods.
dam you sure those taillight modual things are LEGAL..... they look like posible trouble in the making for a cop.... but then again i only looked at one video.LOL
not to shaby.... not a fan of the red BUT its not my car
and V6 also means better gas milage! also means if you do FEEL LIKE IT.... V8 swap is nothing really for that car and insurance would never need to know.LMFAO [8D]

a word on the chaser tail lights. Pretty cool, not sure about the legality of them...but I've seen them. Some of the old T-birds (mid 50's) came with those...only those bad boys were run by mechanical switches (think something along the lines of a dizzy). Pretty cool. Mustang wouldn't be my choice either, but hey...you have a goal in mind! Can't argue with your logic!
addiction, I've thought of the v8 swap, but since I still plan on getting a 240sx, I'm trying to save my money for that (and it's nice to have a stock car for once lol).
And I've searched on mustangforums for info on the chaser tails... nobody that I found has gotten so much as a warning for the tails... personally, I think of them as a safety feature too... what's going to attract more attention when I have to slow down in a hurry? The stock all-at-once lighting, or the chaser tails? I've been behind mustangs with chaser (and sequential tails for that matter), and I've got to say, the modified tails definitely attract more attention than the stock ones.

lol wyotech ain't cheap... well, actually it is, but still... I can modify the mustang (which means expensive parts) or I can have a stock car (that does some pretty badass burnouts) until I manage to find a cheap-*** 240sx and mod the hell out of it. (not to mention I'd feel better beating the hell out of a $1,000 240sx than I would a mustang)
And in all honesty, I'm going to (at the very least) have the roush stage II body kit, roush side-exit exhaust, an intake, headers (wow... I can actually have an "s" at the end there and be right
), and some other misc. things before I'm done with the 'stang... but I like to tell myself I'm not going to spend a lot of mony on it. [8D]

Nicecar man
I really like the color and its super clean looking, good buy! And I like your idea of getting the 240 later on that will be some fun once you mod it up. Selling the civic now are ya? Ill probally hold on to mine and return it all to oem and drive daily with it.
