So I was thinking of rewireing my fog lights because I can only turn them on when I have my driving lights on. I wanna be able to just push the switch and turn on just the Fogs has anyone done this and know how?

Using a continuity tester available almost anywhere for under $10.00 , connect alligator clip to known good ground and then probe accessory fuse box for circuit that is "hot" even when the ignition key is off. A viable path will light the 12v lamp on the tester.Extend that circuit via a relay to your fog lamp wiring and you're there. On some vehicles, maybe yours, no circuits will be "hot" without the key in and in the run position. Still, find a circuit, preferably a vacant, unused one, that is "hot" independent of whether your running light switch is on. Be careful not to short any connections while doing this. Relatively steady hand and it will be a real easy fix. Good luck!

Or you can wire it directly to the battery, all you need is a on and off switch

ive just been to lazy on my civic lately geting my impala road worthy.... ill definatly rewire mine this week! i just got a party to go to tomorow so sunday ill probably do mine...

i dont know why they wire it up like that! BUT im preaty sure its a simple 1-2wire swap... im preaty sure the low beam power output is what triggers the fog lights relay... just have to swap it to the parking light....

tho your civic is newer so wires wont be the same as me..
