Short Ram and try not to call people "japs" just saying " the people at the performance shop " works just as well.

thats a short ram version of the AEM V2. You don't select "short ram" or "cold air" versions of the V2, but some of them happen to go down in the bumper a little, while otehrs (such as that one pictured) end right in the engine bay.

It was up to AEM to produce the most horsepower via tuning different pipe diameters and lengths to tune the frequencies inside the intake. It all depends on engine bay size and the motor as to what they want to do with it.

a heat shield for the intake filter? No need! Youre only going to see at a MAX 3 hp gain from the intake...for this little gain i dont think a heat shiel is going to matter.

I didn't want to say it, but I think it should be said. You're in the completely wrong forum for this thread and questions. You're in the "Sights N Sounds" - Post Video and Sound clips here. This forum is for video's pertaining to Honda Civic's, Racing (Street/Strip), Interviews, and Off Topic

This is the Header, Intake & Exhaust Forum
https://www.hondacivicforum.com/foru...splay.php?f=12

You should be posting your questions in here.

And if you want to know what an Exhaust sounds like try looking it up. In the Header, Intake & Exhaust Forum we have a sticky about exhausts with video clips located here.

===== Exhaust FAQ Sticky ======

https://www.hondacivicforum.com/foru...ad.php?t=44556

Also the search feature is invaluable and she be used before posting a thread it helps to stop repeat questions.

Also I'm not trying to be rude I know you've been a long time member, but you should know better.
