161db at 18hertz(i think it was 18 or 15?) i wish they could have taken more time to engineer that.......i mean a sturdier platform would have made for slightly higher db's and a welded sunroof should have done a litlle some some. either way it was pretty cool what they did i think.

16 hertz. And welding the sunroof would have probably just busted a window. Way cool though.

THEY GAVE UP WAY TO QUICK...... QUITERSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

they blow up everything else so why not rebuild and prove it!!!!!!

if the box woulda been built thicker and them weld up the sunroof i think that it would shatter some windows!
they just gave up after one attempt. im very disapointed with the hard worken well USUALY hard worken mythbusters!

^ That's exactly what I was thinking when watching it. They should have chosen a car with no sunroof, reinforce every crack except the windows and then we would have seen some results. It was still amazing to see an engine-powered subwoofer though!!

i watched the whole thing too... i thought it was interesting but the way they went about powering the thing was kinda stupid and poor.

i only say this because it seemed like when the cone moved it was like being almost like jerked up and down it seemed to rough to actually work for a while. I say that we or someone either write to them saying they should go back at it and try it again. cause for anyone who watchs mythbusters a lot has seen that people have wrote to them about how they should do it again and they had a whole episode of revisited myths.

They did fine. If they secured every crack inside the vehicle a window would just bust. Like they said at the end, the pressure justs builds up until it can find a point to escape, and then it all escapes out that point. I'm pretty sure a window would blow before the car itself fell apart.

WE DONT CARE... we wanna see something break beside a pathetic sunroof coming off the track.....
im just talken about welding the sunroof shut.... the rest of it seemed to be fine and practical..... hell ya seen the car flexen!!!!!! that was preaty cool with the highspeed camera. BUT we are just like everyone else that watches mythbuster... we wanna see WHAT IT WOULD TAKE to blow that sucker up

they do for everything else! they bust the myth and then they find out what it would take to do it.....

hell put buster in the car and see if it shatters that blood egg in his head
