Pulled off the front bumper and put my new couplers and clamps on today, figured I'd grab some pics as I remember some of you asking how I mounted my IC. So, here they are.







Hopefully should be able to get back on the dyno tomorrow for an hour or so, I'll let you guys know as I won't know for sure until tomorrow.

 

That IC is huge!. But arnt you worried if you ever get into a front endcrash with the bumper (metal part) cut out?

 

damn i never knew your intercooler was that big! is that the original one you had from the first turbo setup? that ramhorn mani is looking sweet from the heat getting at it!! when do plan on running her down the 1/4?

 

Yup, same FMIC from day 1, it was just hidden by the bumper. With this setup I've pretty much cut a gigantic hole out of the bumper and it gets a lot more air. As far as taking it down the 1/4 goes, should hopefully hit the dyno tomorrow and at the latest early next week... gonna try for thursday or friday. Tentative date as long as everything goes well on the dyno.

As far as the bumper support goes, it's just that.... a support bar for the bumper. That hollow thin *** sheetmetal bar isn't gonna help me all that much in an accident.

 

I was thinking the same thing as mill$, but what you said makes sense. Thing looks hell-a-fun to drive!

DAMN that is a huge intercooler. Id cream myself if I owned that car
