Studies show most people think they are better than average drivers.

The average driver almost kills me just about everyday on the road...paying attention and being a defensive driver has saved me/my car I don't know how many times...

It dont take a good driver to not **** up **** just a defensive and I ran 6.50's at over 100mph in the 1/8 mile when I was 16 so I guess I didn't do to bad

yea i can see where everyone is comming from...the 1st car is ALWAYS supposed to be a POS car...like i got my licence here in las vegas when i was 15.5 yrs old..my first car was my parents 99 toyota corolla DX...sedan 4 spd auto...and yea obviously i would drive like a grandma does in here lincoln lol...but then an adition of a few "retard peer pressure friends" and there u do..drivin with ur seat slanted backwards with 1 hand on top of the steering wheel.....it had like 108k miles on it...on the 3rd month i tried drifting it in a community to show off "i didnt know at the time u cant drift FWD" and i hit a parked car...yea how embarrassing...nothing happened to the linc nav but mine was totaled lol...i still didnt learn my mistake...then when i was 16 my parents baught me a 2000 hyundai sonata (my fav car still till now) it was niice...drove well...but i still didnt lean my lesson and drove like an idiot with my best friend...and at the time "the fast and the furious" came out...lol...so then i started to use neons and all the crap and i started racing..all i had was a custom intake lol...but yeai had that car for a good 6 months till i got hit...but the day before i got hit i toped it out to 120 on the interstate and there was a wide left curve turn commin up and i lost tration and i spun out of control and i lost a chunk of my left front tire...lol yea...and after that i would use the E-BRAKE to drift alot and my tranny got busted...after first gear it would go to 2nd and then BOOM it felt like the car was in 6th gear and barly gettin speed...so ok my parents baught a new tranny for $800 and then i got hit and it got totalled :'( RIP...then i got a 1996 CIVIC EX...my first stick shift....now i learned my lesseon after !@#$in around on my last 2 cars so this one i took care of..had a nice low pitch exhaust and a AEM CUSTOM intake.. i had that car for a good year then it got taken away for a stupid felony that i did...and now i drive a 2002 CIVIC EX...and i take care of this car like my LIFE...wash it every weekend..degrease the engine every 3 weeks...oh man my car looks better than a 2007 civic..lol...but u get my point...goin though all of those cars i learned to respect cars through makin mistakes...no one in life is perfect and learn from mistakes...so yea...just thought i would say something about the first car things and learning ur lesson...lemme kno wat yall think..thanks!

Marty, I've known you for quite a while now, and never once have I seen a drag slip or video from you. Seems that if you had as much skill as you claim, you'd be posting that stuff all the time. And don't say that its because "you don't like to show off." If that were the case, you wouldn't make statements like the one earlier in this thread.

No it's not because I dont want to show off, mainly because I did most of my racing and such before I was on the internet alot and I just never really had a camera. There are those types that vid and take pics alot and I'm just not one of them. I started snapping more pics around the time I got my impala and I think I got 2 vids of it on cold start up for a couple people that needed it on a impala forum I was on but other than that I am just not the type of person to lug any kinda camera around with me at all.

I dont live to prove anything to anyone. I mean I could careless if anyone takes what I say seriously because I know what I do and the people around me know what I do.

So are we getting a room or not?
