OUCH!!! That's gotta sting! [:@]

Yeah, that's pretty much the only upside to living in Michigan. That, and our economy is pretty much f'ed in the A right now. There are currently 12 homes for sale, for every ONE potential buyer. No one is making an effort to buy, which actually worked in my favor. We had SOOOOO many places to choose from, and we basically got to pick our own price/options.. So, by luck of the draw we were in the market when all this was happening, and took advantage of the situation.

The house is getting appraised either today or tomorrow, I can't wait to hear what it's actually worth. I have a feeling it's going to be a buttload more than we paid

Not sure yet, but I'll check them out for you next time I'm at the house. Everything is still progessing nicely (knock on wood), and if it continues to move like this, I'll have the keys in my hadn on the 22nd! Which is flipping awesome, cause it'll be just in time for the Turbo install [sm=badbadbad.gif]

DCA, LordofdaRings, Guest, or whatever the hell you're going by now.. I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to do as far as entertainment in the basement is concerned. I really just need to be in the house, and try out a couple different floor plans to see what works best ya know? I am going to have a 13inch tv mounted in the top right corner over where the bar will be. Then I might just have a regular 36" or something for a main t.v. The only thing we'll be watching down there is sports anyway. That reminds me, Hockey playoffs are going to be starting soon, maybe I'll be spending more time down there than I originally thought, lol

But yeah, the living room upstairs is what will really be geared towards entertainment. (movies, sports get togethers, etc..)

Update time.. 12-20-07

I'm bored at work so I figured I'd update you all with some progress. Lori and I both have a nasty habit starting a project, then starting another before the first one is finished. So, theres some things that need to be finished off, but, we're getting there.. Anywho, pics..

Living room before..

Living Room Now (Ignore the tools, I was anxious to get pics..)

Kitchen Floor Before..

Kitchen Floor After (still needs threshholds, and I have to put the trim back up, but you get the picture). Also notice the Avacado color is gone, and replaced with a neutral light tan. The Cabinets have been spray painted (yes, thats right....it's a long story) with textured paint and they turned out great. Everyone asks us where we bought them, haha. Have to finish the other side but that'll have to wait until spring when the temps come back up.

Lori built a Pantry too, she pretty much rocks at power tools.

Basement area where bar should be...

New Bar! Before New Year's Eve this will be finished off and I'll update with new pics. Long story short all the laundry crap will no longer be visible, the shelving unit on the right will be fully enclosed (and filled with liqour), and there will be some lighting changes, should be sweet.
