I have a similar pic:
It just happened, I got tapped in the right rear, sent to the wall head on and the car just took off from there.

I love how in the NASCAR special events, if you touch anyone you're disqualified... Yet as soon as you start taking the lead, the other cars can put you into the ****ing wall. :|

Other than that, things have been going pretty well in this game, definitely loving it.

Just a tip for anyone who hasn't already done the Polyphony Digital Cup, you don't need anything special to win the race. I read somewhere that I needed a modded GTR and blah blah blah, so I did that, and won by about 7 minutes... Just use whatever you used to beat races like the Tuner Car Cup and you'll be fine.

I still haven't won any race cars. Instead I did the Race Mod and all tuner parts on a ZR1. Still hard to hang tight with the real race cars even an 900+ hp

This is true. I had to buy the Mazda 787B to due some of the races. The ZR1 RM couldn't do it.

I won the first race in Like The Wind with my ZR1, but I am not even coming close in the Indy race. I was hoping to get this series done with and get my hands on a Minolta but it's proving to be quite difficult.

I'm considering spending a day just jamming out in some of the race series I've already completed to build some cash, rotate the Used Car stock, and eventually buy myself a race car.

dont brake into corners, just downshift to 5th (in the zr1 at indy). you want to be in second place last lap. its dicey, but i won it thru some creative blocking. eff that minolta in the bum. its a piece of ****. gd i hate it. snap oversteer like mad. tire eater. garbage. btw, is ur downforce maxed out on ur zr1? helps a bit.

Well the Minolta is the only attainable race car i see in my near future and I need it to beat some other races, so I'll make do.

Downforce is maxed and I am not braking in the turns. Just letting off throttle, mostly in turns one and three, and trying to stay as far into it as I can in turns 2 and 4. By lap two the 1st thru 3rd place cars have pulled ~3.5 seconds on me. I'm sure, like the other races I struggled with, that I will figure it out. I just got annoyed with it yesterday.

I can take all 4 corners at Indy in 6th gear with just letting off the throttle. I have maxed downforce and racing soft tires. This is in the American Championship though, didnt have an issue winning

draft draft draft forty, and dont get caught behind that one douchey car. i forget which one it is, but it is slower on top than all the others. might be the escudo. anyways, watch talladega nights, perfect "slingshot, engage", then dominate. not easy peasy like i always say, but it is doable. since the race is a simple oval, just complete it no matter what position you are in. it will give you a decent amount of cash.

I didn't really think about it like that, but I should definitely be finishing the races for the money (and practice).
