Everything worked when I took it off my old Civic 2 years ago. It's been sitting in a Sony xPlod Stereo Box in my closet for 2 years, and should still work good.
Only thing wrong with it is the screen is a little hard to read, I was still able to read it though.
Last time I checked, everything on it was fully functional.

I know other stock radios need a code to work once removed.

If you take it to the honda dealership they'll read the serial number off of it and tell you the code for free
