I am looking to buy everything needed to convert my 2000 EX D16Y8from Auto to Manual. This would include: transmission, clutch, flywheel, pedal assembly, linkage, hydro lines, ecm, master cylinder, center consol, shifter and boot, trans mounts, hardware, and many other things I am sure I am forgeting at the moment. It would be ideal if I could get everthing from one person for simplicity sake so someone looking to part out would be great. Let me know.

 

just some advice, but check out your local junkyard. you should be able to pull quite a few of those parts off a junked car. i would just get the transmission, flywheel, and clutch from somewhere else, unless the junkyard can guarantee that it works good.

 

i have a manual trans for sale from my d16y7 it will bolt up to your y8 but i dont think i have the linkage any more. i cant seem to find the flywheel but ill look for it but the trans was rebuild less than 800 miles ago with a new main shaft. but i dont have the rest u pry are better off getting it at one place haha. you dont need a diff center concil i dont think u can use the same one the plastic peice around the shifter is connected to the part thats connected to the floor so ull need manual trans break and clutch pedals . 2

 

your best bet is to look for a totaled civic.
thats what im trying to do... that way i have all the stuff that i need.
so just search localy.
post on craigslist.com

im searching for a totaled civic5speed localy and i think i found one. tho depending on the final price it goes for if i get it or not. i would REALLY LOVE TO DO A 5SPEED manual swap! i used to like my automatic and still would in traffic.LOL but i want more performance/MPG
