Parts Review Rules, Please read first!
Parts Review Rules
This portion of the forum is strictly for parts reviews. Give us your two cents on the products that you have installed, so that everyone gets a better idea of exactly what they’re getting if they decide they want to order the same part for their car. We are looking for FIRST HAND EXPERIENCES with products. We don’t want anything like “My friend’s dad works at a shop, and he installed this exhaust and it sucks.” Messages like this will be deleted immediately. Please keep your reviews under the correct generation of car that you drive, as to not confuse anyone.
Off topic posts, generalized info (such as the example sentence above), and any general trash talking will not be tolerated.
The following items are required, and any additional information you can provide is greatly appreciated. Pictures, links, and where you bought the product will also help.
Product: K&N CAI
Distributor: K&N (Or wherever you ordered your part from)
Vehicle: 1998 Civic LX Coupe
Cost: $250 shipped
Installation: easy, required only a screwdriver
Installation Time: 10 minutes to remove factory air box, 5 minutes to install new intake.
Review: It is worth every cent. I gained some horsepower as well as some mileage, and it sounds great!
Try to be as detailed as possible in the Installation and Review categories. Example.. “Had to remove front bumper.” Or “Product didn’t fit perfectly, needs to be adjusted for bolt holes to line up.” You get the picture…
Keep in mind, this will make all of our jobs here at HCF a lot easier. No more will we have to explain our views on products like the Greddy Evo exhaust every time someone asks about it, we can simply point them here. So lets all put forth some effort into making this section as detailed and informative as possible.
