16's or 17's?

I've seen some that actually look decent with 17", but I think 16" is a nice compromise between looks and ride comfort. I also like a bit more tire on the wheel for looks as well.

See, that's what I don't get though. How is it a compromise? It looks better than 17".

I meant compared to 14 or 15". Stock's too small IMO, so going 16" is a nice step up to get a bigger wheel, but still have ride comfort.

Honestly, I think 14", 15", and 16" all look better on pre-2001 civics than 17".

Well from the opinions here I will probably go with 16's then. They don't have those same wheels in that size though, at least on tire rack, hopefully I can find some similar.
