Default 2002 Civic EX front strut replacement

Does anyone have any step by step instructions/pictures of front strut replacement. How hard is this project? I have done struts on other vehicles but this is the first Honda in the family. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Robert

If you are familiar with struts then you shouldnt have too much of a problem. They arent too difficult to put on.

Well I replaced the struts in less than a hour and a half for both sides. It was one of the easiest jobs i've done even without pictures or instructions. I wish I had a digital camera to take pictures to post to help someone else.

It depends on what you are replacing them with. If you are doing something like Koni Yellows where it is just the strut and not the entire housing, then it will be a little more difficult than a strut that has the entire housing. When you install them, make sure that you index the front upper mounts the EXACT SAME WAY they were before the installation. A lot of the upper mounts on the 01+ Civic have little paint marks on them so it is easy to recall what way they went on before. That is the most important thing I could stress, is making absolute sure everything is the exact same as it was before you replaced the struts.

The rears are very straight forward, just drop them out and replace. Good luck on the install!!!
