i had sorta the same post in the motor forum cuz i thought it was the motor making the noise, but i think i figerd out where the noise is coming from... about 4 seconds after i start moving, my abs system makes a 1 sec noise that sounds like its kicking in, it does this everytime i park and turn off my car, then when i start my car, put it in first , and start moving, after about 4 sec it make a short 1 second noise like its kicking in...is this normal ?? (2000 civic ) or is somthing wrong?

 

Sound like you system is pressurizing. As far as I know all ABS systems
do this much like a fuel pump does. Not sure about it doing it when you
turn the car off. Wouldn't think you would here it "depressurize". You may
have air or a small leak in your ABS system. I had a similar problem on
wife's JB. I am far from an expert on this and would recomend talking to a
brake specialty shop. Most give free estimates and you know your not getting
bull****ted if more than one gives the same trouble. GOOD LUCK!!!
