Default RE: air shock/strut VS gas shock/strut

This may help: http://www.kyb.com/support/shocktypes.php
Keep in mind air is a gas.

Although, I think that air shocks are the kind that can be inflated or deflated by compressors.
Here's a definition I found for air shocks: "A type of overload shock absorber that can be inflated with air to increase the suspension's load carrying ability."
