Default Annoying ABS System

Hey guys, looking to get some advice on my abs system. I got an 01 Civic, and I upgraded to 18's. Car handles like a champ, rides good, corners like its on rails, but when I need to slow it down (especially on bumpy surface) my abs engages so quickly. I am sure it has something to do with the larger diameter of the wheel/weight, etc. I am used to a car with no abs and I know that the car has more potential with the larger tread footprint and softer compound. It gets a little scary when you run up on something and the abs kicks in and won't allow me to stop quickly enough. Is there a way to bypass the abs system without having to completely rework the braking system? Maybe like removing the abs fuse?
