BAD BRAKES *HELP!!!*

i dont know what has happened. all of a sudden my brakes dont work, then go back to normal. but now when i step on the brakes i have to step on it all the way to stop but even then it stops really slow. like theres no pressure or something. HELP!

you might have air in the system, which may be due to a leak or something, if you've messed with the brakes lately, it probably isn't a bad leak if you the pressure returns to normal, so it's most likely either low fluid, or you need to bleed the system.

sounds like you need to add more brake fluid or bleed your lines.

either way, it would be advisable not to drive your car again until it's fixed...

check ur brake reservoir and make sure its at the proper level. also looks at all ur brake lines and calipers to see if u have any leaks there. if still nothing, u may have air bubbles in the lines in which u'll need to bleed them out which isnt to difficult.

bleed brakes. Check the rear drums as that's where the leaks usually occur.

like when i bump the breaks i can hear the car's idle lower than when i stop bumping the idle goes back to normal. anyone know whats that about?

Does your car have a vacuum assisted power brake booster? Also, does your car pull to one side when you stop? Beleive it or not, that can still occur id you have just one seal go bad in your master cylinder. Hard to detect because there are no leaks and the fluid levels still look good.
