Hey guys,

New to here so i'm hoping someone can help, i have a 94 EG Civic hatch. i clipped a cerb comming out of a roundabout and bent the axel. I can get my hands on a second hand spare but i was just wondering is it hard to replace the axel yourself or should i bring it to a garage?

 

you don't have a rear axle. what did you actually break?

 

Okay if i don't have a full axel i'm not sure what its called. Ill explain going round a round about a bit too fast the rear end slipped out on me and hit the curb right on the alloy. The alloy now sits at an angle (as if its bent) and when i move the car there is alot of grinding and vibration.

 

since you don't even know what part it is I would suggest taking it to a shop....

 

you probably bent your lower rear control arm. if you did, that's an easy swap.

if you bent something else, you may be in a world of hurt.

 

i got the same problen, slide and hit the curb. the rear left steelie bend. no damage to the lca though.
take it to a shop!
