Brake calipers
So i was driving my car today after months of it being worked on and... the brake caliper got wedged in the rim. How you ask? well i dont kno. Upon closer inspection it seemed that one of the bolts that held the caliper together is missing and it simply just slipped off and hit the rim and was rubbing it. IT will not budge and will not slide back up onto the disk. Now my question to you is how do i fix this? I plan to tow it to my mech and have them look at it but if they gonna over charge i would rather do it myself.
Maybe a picture might help.
I'm guessing just take the rim off then take the caliper off? If you wanna go fancy I got NHT powered coated calipers for my HX. Will install an upcoming weekend without rain.
And then you can use a fancy digital electronic torque wrench to torque the bolts precisely. I got the Sears $229 one but they sell on ebay for $130 to $145.
