can someone tell me why when i try to burn out on the street the car keeps moveing foward and the front tires don't spin but the rear tires are locked

 

What do you mean the rear tires are locked?

Do you have the E Brake on

 

I don't think that works, i've tried it before. Your drums will hold you for a while, but as soon as your front tires put down too much torque, the drums won't be able to hold it anymore. I'm not sure how to do a burn out on FWD, i just know that the e-brake method doesn't work (for me anyway). Maybe if you had discs or stronger brakes you might be able to hold the rear end better, but i don't know if even then it will work. I did a burnout (kinda) in my friend's Altima, there was a whole bunch of smoke after some donuts. It was raining, so thats why i think it worked.

 

just rev it up higher and drop it, so you get the front tires spinning so they dont grip anything and then pull the e-brake

 

Don't forget the burning of the trans clutches and breaking other various transmission parts.

 

in my old 93 lx, i would just pull the e brake back, rev it high and pop the clutch. that is if you have a manual tranny. its a little harder in an auto unless you provoke it by getting the tires wet before you hit the dry stuff. but if your car has some mods and its putting down some good power, it should do it no prob. another thing, my lx was in stock form, and it would only spin the tires for a little bit before the underpowered little 1.5 started to die out from lack of torque. my 97 eclipse however, i have laid a patch that was almost twice as long as an 88 camaro with a 350. thats because my clipse is decently moded even w/o forced induction. ive been able to burnout for minutes at a time with it using this method. and it looks great when your car disapears in a cloud of smoke.
