Default do i really need adjustable dampers?

I do not plan to track it or race anyone with a d17 engine, but I would like to ride lower in a city with very bumpy roads and equally bumpy freeways. I am looking at the Tein Basics and the Tein SS, and the only difference is the adjustable dampers and the price. basics are 900 bucks while SS are 1,200.

If you just want your car lower then buy springs and shocks, you don't need coilovers.

i already haev s techs but they arent low enough. so instead of wasting more money and buying a set of springs that will go lower, i rather get coil overs so i can adjust height whenever.

why not look into coilover sleeves like Ground Controls? They're about $325 shipped and I can say from personal experience that they're awesome (although a little uncomfortable, but that's a little unavoidable with coilovers). I've also heard good things about Skunk2's coilover sleeves.
