Default The drop on the back is amazing...

last weekend me and some friends went to Tahoe.. and stuck a big cooler in the trunk, and stuck 2 ppl in the back. and the rear was never the same... lol Now it looks like as if the front had lifted up and the back droped.

So now im thinking of getting new springs to lower it.. and maybe coilovers for the winter.
Just dont know wats good out there, since i never bought before...
im not looking for any high performance or anything... as its only a daily driver.

BTW im kind of on a budget idk (...hopefully way less than 400?)...(still in college) so maybe the lower the price the better lol.

THANKS GUYS!

well when it comes to lowered... the cheaper ya go the worse ya go! best way to go is the koni yellows and ground control coilovers. great for a daily driver year round and easily adjustable when ya need to! expect to spend about 1K bucks total for new struts, coilovers, and camber kits of good quality and drivability.

well only 2inches max on a daily driver then ya the budget friendly tein Stechs, just read up some research... there are stech FAKES all over ebay so be sure your buying from a respectable seller and if in doubt as for pictures of the actual spring where it says TEIN since the fakes just slap a sticker, and the authentic ones have it printed on the springs. if they are not willing to get a actual picture then they are probably fakes.

ground controls would be best IMO... but you can always call them directly and buy a set for your car with your desired spring rate. they have several different spring rates so depends what kinda ride you want, stiff, medium or soft ride.

ive heard the skunks can be abit ruff.
so id say ground controls mainly because you can adjust the height on every corner!
i liked the Stech springs BUT since they are just springs my drivers side was not the same height as the passenger side... not to serious but it got on my nerves because i knew it was different, there was about a fingers difference from side to side front and back. so when i went to ground controls it was simply adjust the spring perch EXACTLY how high or low i wanted so i could make it perfect from side to side, and be able to adjust it from winter and summer driving heights was a great option you had available!

I say expect to spend around $500 for struts/springs

And if the drop is 1.5" or more, you probably want a front/rear camber kit. At first I didn't have the adjustable controls arms(camber kit) and my front would hydroplane around curves in the rain, made me very nervous. Not sure if this happened to anyone else, but not that my specs are close to factory settings, tires grip very well in any condition, no matter how hard it's raining.

I paid about $375 total for a skunk2 front/rear camber kit. The fronts had a solid top plate for the ball joint mount, I guess helps to prevent damage to the mount area. Blox has kits for $205 total for front/back on ebay, but I'm not sure of the quality of the bushings.

So if you did everything there, $700. Still better than $1000, but more than you expect to pay.
