Default E-Brake problems

Took my center console off and the left ebrake cable seems to be functioning right and the left one is sticking and locking up when I pull my E-brake. I think I need to get under my civic and resolve the problem or just replace my E-brake lines but need some other opinions before I start the tear down. Also looking to go to ss brake lines anybody have any Ideas what brand to ngo with.

It's possible that the problem is actually with one of the auto-adjuster mechanisms in your rear drum brakes. See this recent thread for additional information:

You would need to remove the rear wheels and drums to inspect the mechanism. The star adjuster for one of the rear wheels may have seized up.

You need to loosen that up. Where you see the spring thats wraped around. It will be stuck in one position. lossen it up and lube it up and it will work again. It happened to me

Its just because its rusted. But ok. Don't try it if you don't want to. Just trying to help you save money. By telling you what it took me awhile to figure out.

Thanks for helping but all my E-brake components are located inside my drums.I dont have that spring located outside.I just took a look in my manual and an arm is attached to one of my brake shoes and it is fully ingaged all the time like its froze. So thats why I think my E-brake cable is bad and not releasing
