Factory Wheels in Winter??

Default Factory Wheels in Winter??

just wondering of the daily drivers with aftermarket wheels .. what do you do for winter.. ive heard of some type of protective coating for us that live in northern states.. where we deal with salt and crap.. any suggestions..

Usually people will put on there stock wheels for winter.

any probs swapping from 17 back to a 14 to drive in winter?

i dont think so..iv never heard of having problem, but im getting aftermarkit in a couple days and next winter im going to stick the stocks on..mabey get winter tires, not sure

depending on tire size it shouldnt be an issue. my friend has 17s on during the summer and 14s on in the winter and doesnt have any problems. the speedometer might be a little off but i dont think its enough to be an issue. and for winter i would recomment getting some 14" steelies with winter tires. salt will eat the crap out of your rims unless you wash them very often

whats biggest steelies i can get for 99 civic hatch? assuming theres not a 17" pattern of steels that will fit.. that or anyone have any suggestions on larger wheels that are junk for winter.. or would 14's be better in snow

I have 16's on my civic and in the winter I have 14's and I haven't had a problem with it. The only problem I have had, is that 3 of my lug nuts broke off while I was driving so my whole tire came off, I'm sure that was by mistake though haha. Talk about a bad day. But yup other than that happening I have never had another problem.
