Default Repainting 17's

Alright guys opinion and answer time! I can get my hands on 4 white 17 inch spoke wheels for like $200...good shape, two even have good Yokohama tires on them. They are coming off of an Acura Integra, not sure the exact year but is has the round headlamps...That being said, two things...

1-- Can I repaint them without too much trouble... (I just don't like the white wheels red car thing...) I like the grey/silver stuff...

2-- I have a stock D16Y8 (1998 EX), How much are those (17's) gonna bog my engine down, if I can repaint them. (I have a 4 banger wrangler w/ 31/10.50's on it and on the highway it's tough to go anywhere in a hurry...) I like the way the honda runs but those wheels are such a good deal!

Input would be nice guys...Thanks!!!!!!

well, for painted i would bring to a perfessional...they can acid dip them and get all the paint and oils and that **** off and give it a really nice paint with warrinty..i say this because i always here of people painted there rims and it chipping and pealing a couple months down the road, and im not to sure what you mean on your second question, put they wont put stress on the motor if thats what you mean, they will probably most likly be lighter then your stocks

Well by my second question I mean......I have the stock steelies with the hubbies on now......the 17's I would imagine would be heavier and thus harder for the lil 4 cyl. to turn over...(that's what happened to my wrangler...that motors a dog now at highway speeds)

I considered the poweder coat...I'll have to call around and see if anybody does it in my area......I just did'nt want to offset the cheap wheel cost w/ a paint job...

Cool thanks guys!! Anybody else wanna chyme in?

Stock steel usually weighs 20 pounds per wheel .. not sure if this is combined with tire as well or just rim.. but aftermarket wheels are never usually more than 20 lbs unless u break the 20" barrier .. most of the time they are 5lbs less than stock

Nail...I have no idea what they are made of, I've only seen them on the integra. The guy selling them is a friend of my friends (yea yea I know baby sister's couzin's brother's aunt!! LOL) Seller lives in neighborhood, I pass it going and coming etc... it was 400 and when Bri asked the guy dropped it to two. I'm must not keen on white wheels...btw can you explain w/out too much trouble why ya asked?
