front camber bolt noob question ?????????

Exclamation front camber bolt noob question ?????????

i bought a ingalls front camber kit for a 2004 civic dx and upon inspection i noticed that i can't thread the nut all the way down the bolt by hand it stops itself should i be able to keep going al the way or does it stop itself im a noob and don't want to be stuck with defective threads even though there only 35 bucks i have 90days to return.

If you can get a picture of it, that might help. Usually, you don't want play in the front ball joints, it just leads to premature failure. inspect the facture arms and compare the thread. if there's a significant portion of the thread missing from the ingalls units, then take them back from defect.

I hate ingalls. I bought their rear camber kit and the threads on one were f'ed up. Like you could see the threads, then there was a flat spot that ran across part of it so the nut couldn't spin anymore.

And I'm assuming you're problem lies within the ball joint. If the threads are messed up just return it. Or if it messed up only at the tip you could use a dremel to cut it off evenly and the nut should go on fine as long as the remaining threads are normal.

thats as far as i can thread both of them by hand.it seems the nut is the problem

how did you get a camber kit for $35? i'm interested... if it's that cheap, i'd install a camber kit just for fun.
