My friend gave me some coilovers lowering springs that he bought but never installed, he claims they will fit my civic which is a 99, although the car he bought em for is actually an 02 civic. Is there any way I can verify this, or tell the difference between these springs and ones made for a 99 to see if there's any difference?

 

If they are for an '02, I'm almost positive they won't fit a '99. What brand are they?

 

I don't know he said he bought em on ebay and there's no logo on them just stickers on em that say F and R for front and rear, nothing else.

 

They won't fit a 99 if they're for an 02. And I'll tell you right now, most likeley their junk judging by the way you described them.

 

If they're from ebay, with no brand logo, spring rate, etc. stamped on it... I'm going to say they're probably not worth putting on (personally, I'd prefer to use quality parts for my suspension, but that's just me)

I'd just sell 'em and use the money to buy better springs (especially given that they won't fit your EK)
