i got 17s on my '00 coupe. the tire size is 205/40 w/ a +42 offset. i want to know how low i can lower it before i have to roll the fenders. i really only want to lower about 1.5". will the tires rub @ 1.5"?

 

no you should be good with a 1.5 in drop unless your tires are really close to sticking out rubbing the fenders with every bump now..

 

yeah, check your offset b4 you do a drop, i've got 17's with a tight offset with over a two inch drop, i just have to go over objects very slow. it's good for the track and it feels like your in a go-cart, but at that height it is too stiff, i'm going back up to a 1.5 inch drop for a comfortable ride.
