Default I think I need a new air intake...

But I'm not sure which one to buy and for what model. I was thinking about an AEM short ram intake. What do you guys suggest? I don't want a 3 inch intake pipe though. I think a 2.5 inch pipe would be perfect (current size). If I have a 98 LS motor in my 92 Civic hatchback, so do I buy one for a Civic or Integra? Thanks in advance to any responses.

no you buy one for a 98 ls civic. you might run into fitment issues, i cant remmeber where they mount the tb. but why not get a few more ponies with a cai?

My current air intake was originally installed when I still had the Civic VX engine. It was an AEM cold air intake system that my brother decided to cut, because he was scared of it ingesting water if you drove through an underpass during a storm or through a deep puddle of water - this was a very long time ago. When I had the LS motor installed, the guy at the shop told me that I can reuse the intake, but I would have to extend it to reach the air duct. This is why I don't know if I should get an intake meant for the Civic or Integra engine.

if its a short ram, you should be able to get it to work if you can get a coupling that will fit the throttle body. but since you say VX, im assuming that wont work. i can get you a brand new AEM SRI for 95 shipped. it might not bolt up exactly, but it should, or it will be close enough that you can get it to work. otherwise, you can get a Hybrid intake from AEM made specifically for a swapped civic. but they are expensive. like 225 shipped. but they are also Cold Air as well.
