Installation price?
Usually about $75 a spring and up. It's nto that hard. If you know someone thats done it have them come over and give you a hand. I did mine with a friend and it took about 3 hours
I got quoted $200 for labor to have the struts changed. Its pretty much the same amount of work to change springs. I'll agree with the rest of the guys that its pretty easy and you should be able to do it yourself w/o too much difficulty
go to pepboys and look at the haynes manual... as soon as you see it you'll know how EASY the job is...a spring compressor can be borrowed from aap or autozone "free" and you're good to go.
THe procedure for struts is pretty easy. First you disconnect the sway bar link (doesn't have to be done but makes the job alot easier). Next there are 3 bolts on the strut tower, remove these. Next there will be either 1 or 2 bolts that connects the strut to the control arm/steering knuckle. Remove these bolts and the strut should come out pretty easy. Now you have to compress the spring, remove the top bolt that holds the spring in place. Uncompress the spring. Then reassemble. This is just a basic procedure and definatly shouldn't be used as a guide. Check the DIY for the strut install write up.
