KYB GR2 Vs. Tokico
In the next month or so I'm going to put new struts and lowering springs on and I've narrowed it down, now I'm trying to find out which package is better. 1. Kyb gr-2 struts with Vogtland lowering springs that lower 1.5"
2. Tokico HP struts and Tokico lowering springs lowering 1.4"
Now im trying to decide which ones to go with. I searched on here a little bit and I'm finding that the hp's are liked by alot of people but I kinda want to give these Vogtland springs with the GR-2s a shot. I don't know much about Vogtland other then they are a german company that makes springs. I see german I automatically think high quality. Is there anyone else who has heard of them or even have any of there products? And is there anyone with gr2's who can vouch for them. Also any other opinions will be appreciated. Thanx

ive found both the hp and gr2's to be more like stock struts(shocks). for a decent strut for the money i would look into the kyb agx's. i enjoyed mine when coupled with h&r race springs. but new struts regardless of brand when lowering the car that little is a good idea for ride.

i have the GR-2's and are very happy with them. my car rides very smooth especially at high speeds. cornering is very good too. i can push my car pretty hard through turns with minimum tire squeel. I think for the price GR-2 are good deal. i think i paid roughly 200.00 for all 4 through Summit Racing.

Who rents out spring compressors and how much do they cost. And from what I seen on here when I searched is it usually takes any where from 2 to 4 and up depending on your mechanical abilaty. My dad is going to be doing most of the work just because I don't fully trust myself and he's pretty good with cars. Is there anything else you need besides a spring compressor?

^ Thanks for the heads up im in MN.
I know what I'm getting for sure. KYB GR-2's from Summit- $268 for all 4 and Megan Racing lowering springs from Street Styler on sale- $100 I think its a decent setup for a student on a budget.
