I just got a set of KYB GR2 struts for my civic. When i pressed them down all the way they dont pop right back up. Aren't they suppose to shoot right back up? These are brand new and I just got them in the mail. The instructions say keep pushing them down until there is a constant resistance but I keep doing that and it feels the same. They still dont shoot up. Does anyone know what I am suppose to do before I have these installed?

 

i couldve swore i saw this is in another thread.. but o well.. so they do slowely come back up right? you dont want them to shoot right back up... thats when u need new ones. its sounds like ures are like they should be, unless they arnt coming up at all.

 

yeah, they are supposed to slow the bounce of of the springs, up AND down. so yeah, thats what they are supposed to do.
