i have a 97 honda civic dx and i have megan racing lca's on the rear of my civic and i have megan racing lowering springs anyways the lca's are making the inner edge of my rear tires wear badly do i need new bushings in the lca's or do i need 2 buy different lca's? need help have 2 get new rear tires because of this

 

Please explain why you think the LCAs are causing the problem.

Did you get an alignment after lowering the car?

 

LCA's wont cause abnormal tire wear. You need an alignment. And if you did have it aligned, they did a poor job or you need a camber kit.

 

it has the orignal rear camber thing on it so the tire shop cant adjust the rear because the factory rear chamber cant adjust, i bought the car with the megan racing lca's on it so i know nothing about how this works,when you have custom lca's on do u need 2 have a chamber kit with it so this doesnt happen or can you just throw lca's on and that should be it

 

Camber isn't the problem. Did you get an alignment or not?

I just realized that camber could be the problem but not for normal reasons...

perhaps the incorrect LCA is on your car and it is too long.

 

do they align the rear by the compensator arm or by the tie-rods and the tire is wearing weird on the inner edge of the tire it will be bald and then it will show tread it will do this all around the tire

 

I'm not really sure.

From what you described you can count out the LCAs, they're probably fine.




Are your tires balanced?

Have you been pulling the e-brake and locking up the rear for fun or something?

 

ive done that once since ive had the the car lol and when i went 2 the tire shop 2 get it my car balance and alignment done and they told me it cant be balance and align unless i get a adjustable tie-rod
