Is the length of an EX exhaust the same as an LX?

Is the length of an EX exhaust the same as an LX?
planning on doing ex exhaust and was wondering if it'll fit. I'm not sure if i need a specific 4 door EX exhaust system or if it even makes a difference. Thanks BTW, its a 98.
