Lightest Rims?
well ya know how MOST aftermarket rims are like 7inches or 6.5inches wide..... so you can fit a fatter tire on them.... well thing i HATE about those is the wider tires in the winter makes it TO EASY to slide around on ice and snow...
i think the SI rims are thinner rims like 5.5 or 6inches wide... not realy sure.....
i didnt like my old 7inch wide 17s on my black civic last year because i slide all over the road! i slaped the stock steelies and tires on the car and it handled just fine....
all the 15s i see are mostly 7inches wide or 6.5inches wide. im curious if they have a light weight rim in the stock width..... PLUS with a stock width wheel i can have more tire stuck out to keep the rims from being curbed so easy....
i dont hit to many curbs BUT when i get to close to that ONE CURB i dont want to jack up my rims.LOL id rather scuff the sidewall on the tires and thats it....
and i also dont know why im not geting very many email post responses lately..... odd....

best bet would be to find some OEM wheels, there are more than just the SI's and steel ones. if ur gena use them in the winter, the OEM ones wouldnt be a bad choice since its not gena be such a big deal if u slide into a curb or w/e than if u had some nice shiney ones. choose the right size tire and even more important is the type, good all-seasons or snow tires. part of the reason u may have been sliding around so much on ur other wheels was due to tire design.
o ive thought about geting some studed tires for the front..... BUT if i do that then i will loose the fun factory when screwing around. LMFAO
im not sure what to buy for my other civic..... i just dont wanna rock steelies.LMFAO

i didn't say studded tires, those are ONLY good for ice, dry, or ice and you're screwed. just plain ol non studded winter tires, you still have your fun factor, but have the safety at the same time

Blizzaks ftw. when a Prius on Blizzaks can destroy every car at an Ice/Snow covered autox, even Evo's and WRX/STI's, u know those tires are doing their job
